Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for Emilio Estevez’s drama The Public. The album features the film’s original score composed by Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, Deadpool 2, John Wick, The Punisher, 300) & Joanne Higginbottom (Samurai Jack). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. The Public is written and directed by Estevez who also stars in the movie with Alec Baldwin, Emilio Estevez, Jena Malone, Taylor Schilling, Christian Slater, Gabrielle Union, Jacob Vargas, Michael K. Williams, Jeffrey Wright and Che “Rhymefest” Smith. The drama revolves around a sit-in by patrons at a public library that escalates into a police standoff and a media sideshow.

Tyler Bates to Score James Cox’s ‘Billionaire Boys Club’
Tyler Bates has signed on to score the upcoming crime drama Billionaire Boys Club. The film is directed by James Cox (Wonderland, Highway) and stars Ansel Elgort, Taron Egerton, Kevin Spacey, Emma Roberts, Suki Waterhouse, Bokeem Woodbine, Billie Lourd, Jeremy Irvine and Judd Nelson. The movie is based on the true story of a group of wealthy young men in Los Angeles during the early 1980s who established a get-rich quick scam that turned deadly. Cox also co-wrote the screenplay with Captain Mauzner (Factory Girl). Holly Wiersma (Bobby, Bug, Stone) and Cassian Elwes (Lee Daniels’ The Butler, Ain’t Them Bodies Saints, Elvis & Nixon) are producing the Armory Films production.
‘The Way’ Soundtrack announced
Editions Jade has announced a soundtrack album for the upcoming Emilio Estevez-directed drama The Way. The album includes Tyler Bates’ original score, as well as several songs from the movie from such artists as Berroguetto, Alanis Morissette, James Taylor and Nick Drake. The album will be released in the UK on May 2, 2011. A domestic release is expected closer to the film’s domestic release date on September 30. The Way stars Emilio Estevez, Martin Sheen and Deborah Kara Unger and tells the story of an American father who travels to France to recover the body of his estranged son.
