Steven Price (Gravity, Suicide Squad, Fury, Our Planet, American Assassin) has started recording his score for the upcoming psychological thriller Last Night in Soho. The film is directed by Edgar Wright (Hot Fuzz, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Shaun of the Dead) and stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Thomasin Harcourt McKenzie, Matt Smith, Michael Ajao, Diana Rigg, Terence Stamp, Synnøve Karlsen and Rita Tushingham. The movie revolves around a young girl passionate about fashion design who mysteriously enters 1960 London, where she encounters her idol, a dazzling wannabe singer.

30th Century Records/Columbia Records will release a new soundtrack album for Edgar Wright’s action movie Baby Driver. Baby Driver Volume 2: The Score For A Score features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award winner Steven Price (Gravity, Suicide Squad, The World’s End, Fury), as well as more songs from the movie and dialogue excerpts. Steven Price revealed in a recent interview with Collider that he has started work on Edgar Wright’s upcoming action crime comedy Baby Driver. No details about his exact involvement are known yet as the composer calls the project “not a traditionally scored film.” The movie written and directed by Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) stars Ansel Elgort, Lily James, Jamie Foxx, Jon Hamm, Jon Bernthal, Sky Ferreira and Kevin Spacey. The movie follows a young, talented getaway driver who is being being coerced into working for a crime boss and must face the consequences when a doomed heist threatens his life, love and freedom.
Steven Price to Score Marvel’s ‘Ant-Man’
Edgar Wright has announced on Twitter that he will be scoring the director’s upcoming comic book film adaptation of Ant-Man. The film will star Paul Rudd in the title role of Scott Lang/Ant-Man, the superhero who can change size via an invented substance and can communicate with insects. Michael Douglas will be portraying scientist Hank Pym and Michael Pena has also been cast in an undisclosed role. Wright has also co-written the screenplay with Joe Cornish (Attack the Block). Kevin Feige (Iron Man, The Avengers, Thor, Captain America) is producing the Marvel Studios production. Price has previously scored Wright’s last feature The World’s End, as well as the Wright-produced horror comedy Attack the Block.

Back Lot Music has released a score album for Edgar Wright’s final movie in his Cornetto trilogy, The World’s End. The album features the film’s original music composed by Steven Price (Gravity) who previously scored the Wright-produced horror comedy Attack the Block and served as music editor on the director’s last feature Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. The movie is the third part of the director’s “cornetto” trilogy of comedies written by Wright and Pegg and starring Pegg and Frost, following Shaun Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz (scored by David Arnold). The comedy follows five childhood friends who reunite in an attempt to top their epic pub crawl from 20 years earlier and unwittingly become humankind’s only hope for survival. Nira Park (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Paul) is producing for Big Talk Pictures and Tim Bevan & Eric Fellner (Love Actually, Atonement) are producing for Working Title Films. Price has previously scored last year’s Attack the Block, which was executive produced by Wright.
