The first-ever soundtrack album has been announced for the Acorn TV series Ms. Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries. The album features selections of the original music from the show composed by Burkhard Dallwitz (The Truman Show, The Way Back), Brett Aplin (The Bureau of Magical Things) and Dmitri Golovko (Red Hill, The Gloaming). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, June 25 and is now available for pre-order here. Ms. Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries is created by Deb Cox & Fiona Eagger and stars Geraldine Hakewill, Joel Jackson, Catherine McClements, James Mason and Toby Truslove, The drama is a spin-off to the Australian mystery series Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries and revolves around Phryne Fisher’s long-lost niece, Peregrine, as she decides to follow in her stylish footsteps as a lady detective for a new era.

‘The Way Back’ soundtrack album announced
Varese Sarabande Records has announced the details of the soundtrack release for the upcoming drama The Way Back directed by Peter Weir. The album will include 14 tracks of Burkhard Dallwitz’ original score. Dallwitz previously scored The Truman Show for the director. The Way Back tells the fact-based story centered on soldiers who escaped from a Siberian gulag in 1940. The movie stars Colin Farrell, Jim Sturgess, Saoirse Ronan and Ed Harris. The soundtrack album will be released on January 18, 2011, while Newmarket Films will release the movie on December 29 in LA and on January 21 in more cities.
