Silva Screen Records has released a digital version of the score album for the 2013 biographical/historical drama Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom directed by Justin Chadwick and starring Idris Elba, Naomie Harris, Riaad Moosa, Tony Kgoroge, Lindiwe Matshikiz and Jamie Bartlett. The album features the remastered original score from the film composed by Alex Heffes (The Last King of Scotland, Touching the Void, Queen of Katwe, Roots, State of Play) who received a Golden Globe nomination for his music. Esmerarte has released a soundtrack album for the Spanish/Portuguese drama Teresa. The album features the film’s original music composed by Juanma Latorre who is best known as the guitar player of the Spanish band Vetusta Morla. Hollywood Records has released a CD version of the original soundtrack album for James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water starring Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver, Kate Winslet and Stephen Lang. The limited edition album featuring the film’s original music composed by Simon Franglen (The Magnificent Seven, Pandora: The World of Avatar, Notre-Dame on Fire), as well as the original songs Nothing Is Lost (You Give Me Strength) performed by The Weeknd and The Songcord performed by Saldaña, is now available to order on Amazon, Disney Music Emporium’s website and select other physical media retailers. The label has previously released a digital version featuring the same content the week of the movie’s theatrical release last December and an expanded digital edition featuring additional score tracks the following week.
