A number of major film/TV/video game composers will be participating at the 15th Annual Fans of Film Music event, which will take place on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Silent Zoo Studios in Glendale, CA. This year’s panelists include John Paesano (Daredevil, The Maze Runner) who recently scored Wes Ball’s Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes), Rolfe Kent (Sideways, Election, Up in the Air) whose recent projects include Kristin Scott Thomas’ North Star and David Fleming (The Last of Us, Damsel) who recently received his first two Emmy Award nominations for the Prime Video series Mr. & Mrs. Smith and the Disney+ documentary Jim Henson: Idea Man. ‘Haunted Heart’ Soundtrack Album Announced

Caldera Records has announced a soundtrack album for the thriller Haunted Heart. The album features the film’s original music composed and produced by Zbigniew Preisner (Three Colors, When a Man Loves a Woman, The Queen of Spain, Dekalog, The Secret Garden). The soundtrack is now available to order as a CD version on various specialty stores and a digital version is expected to be released in the coming weeks (visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download). Haunted Heart is co-written and directed by Fernando Trueba and stars Matt Dillon, Aida Folch and Juan Pablo Urrego. ‘Gunner’ Soundtrack to Be Released

White Label will release a soundtrack album for the action thriller Gunner. The album features the songs from the movie by artists such as Watchmen Pro, Cherokee, RoQ, Jasmin Cadavid, Marlee and Jason Henderson. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 3 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Gunner is directed by Dimitri Logothetis and stars Luke Hemsworth, Morgan Freeman, Grant Feely, Yulia Klass, Mykel Shannon Jenkins and Connor DeWolfe. The movie follows a retired veteran who must fight to save his children from a dangerous crime organization, when one of them stumbles over a tripwire and sets off an explosion, alerting a gang of violent bikers in the midst of a massive drug operation. ‘The Talented Mr. Ripley’ 25th Anniversary Edition Expanded Soundtrack Album Announced

Music Box Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1999 psychological thriller The Talented Mr. Ripley written and directed by Anthony Minghella and starring Matt Damon, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow, Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Cate Blanchett. The 2-CD set features the remastered and expanded original score from the film composed by Academy Award winner Gabriel Yared (The English Patient, Cold Mountain, Betty Blue, Judy, 1408, A Royal Affair), including previously unreleased music, on the first disc, as well excerpts from the original 1999 Sony album, the composer’s demo cues, as well as numerous tracks on the second disc. The 25th Anniversary soundtrack is limited to 2,000 copies and is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find out more about the release. ‘Fox and Hare Save the Forest’ Soundtrack Released

Voltron Recordz has released a second soundtrack album for the crime thriller 1992. The album features the original track Put That in Motion performed by Jxhn Dxe feat. Snoop Dogg & E-40, the new song Wildflower co-written (with David Richardson & Doug Edwards) and performed by Tyrese Gibson (who also stars in the movie) as featured during the movie’s end credits (check out the official lyric video below), as well as tracks by Kosine, J-Rell, Nmbrnd, Kenyon Dixon feat. The movie follows the journey of VETS founders Marcus and Amber Capone and two SEAL teammates as they navigate the challenges of post-combat life and their quest to bring healing to the veteran community. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the sci-fi horror thriller Afraid written and directed by Chris Weitz and starring John Cho, Katherine Waterston, Havana Rose Liu,Lukita Maxwell, David Dastmalchian and Keith Carradine. The film’s original score is composed by Alex Weston (The Farewell, Expats, Wander Darkly, The Adults, The Novice, Goodnight Mommy) who also co-wrote the original song I Love You (with Weitz) for the project. Madison Gate Records will release a soundtrack album according to the movie’s end credits, but no announcement has been made yet. Also opening wide is the biographical drama Reagan directed by Sean McNamara and starring Dennis Quaid, Penelope Ann Miller, Jon Voight, Kevin Dillon, Olek Krupa, David Henrie, Mena Suvari, Xander Berkely, C. Thomas Howell, Trevor Donovan, Robert Davi, Kevin Sorbo Lesley-Anne Down and Jennifer O’Neill. John Coda (Bratz, The King’s Daughter, Hoovey, Cats & Dogs 3: Paws Unite) has composed the film’s original score. No word on a score release.
