Varèse Sarabande and Craft Recordings have announced the first-ever vinyl release of the score to the 1998 fantasy comedy drama Pleasantville written and directed by Gary Ross and starring Tobey Maguire, Reese Witherspoon, Jeff Daniels, Joan Allen, William H. Macy, Don Knotts and J. T. Walsh. The 2-LP deluxe edition features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award winner Randy Newman (Toy StoryMonsters, Inc., The Princess and the Frog, A Bug’s LifeMarriage StoryAvalon, Cars) and will be available on Red, White and Blue swirl vinyl in North America, while the international edition is pressed on Translucent Tan vinyl.
