Joseph Trapanese (Oblivion, Straight Outta Compton, The Greatest Showman, Lady and the Tramp) has been tapped to score the upcoming sci-fi fantasy drama Spontaneous. The film marks the feature directorial debut of screenwriter Brian Duffield (Jane Got a Gun, Insurgent, The Babysitter) and stars Katherine Langford, Charlie Plummer, Hayley Law, Piper Perabo, Rob Huebel, Yvonne Orji, Chris Shields, Laine MacNeil, Clive Holloway and Bzhaun Rhoden. The movie is based on the YA novel of the same name by Aaron Starmer and centers on a teenager whose life is forever changed when students in her senior class explode for no discernible reason. A soundtrack album has been released for the drama Hold On. The album features the songs from the movie performed by singer/songwriter Micayla De Ette. The soundtrack is now available to stream and download here, where you can also check out audio samples. Hold On is written and directed by Tarek Tohme and stars De Ette and Tohme, alongside Luis Guzman, Maurice Benard, Flavor Flav, and Beth Grant. The show is directed by Stephen Frears (The Queen, Philomena, Dangerous Liaisons), written by James Graham (Brexit, A Brilliant Young Mind) and stars Matthew Macfadyen, Michael Sheen, Sian Clifford, Mark Bonnar, Helen McCrory, Michael Jibson and Aisling Bea. The show is created by Ilene Chaiken (who served as the creator/showrunner of the original The L Word series) & new showrunner Marja-Lewis Ryan and stars Jennifer Beals, Kate Moennig and Leisha Hailey who are reprising their roles from the original series. The film marks the feature directorial debut of actor Dave Franco and stars Dan Stevens, Alison Brie, Shelia Vand and Jeremy Allen White. Sony Classical will release a new soundtrack album for the History original series Vikings. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s sixth and final season composed by Emmy Award winner Trevor Morris (The Tudors, The Borgias, Immortals, Olympus/London Has Fallen, Hunter Killer). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, December 6 and will be available to download here. The label has previously released three soundtrack albums for the drama’s first three seasons. The film is written and directed by Francis Lee and stars Kate Winslet, Saoirse Ronan, James McArdle, Alec Secareanu and Fiona Shaw. The movie is set in 1840s England and centers on an infamous fossil hunter and a young woman who are sent to convalesce by the sea and develop an intense relationship, altering both of their lives forever.
