Silva Screen Records will release a new soundtrack album for BBC’s Doctor Who. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s twelfth season composed by Segun Akinola (The Last Tree) who previously scored Season 11 of the series. The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on April 3, 2020. Visit Amazon to pre-order the digital version. Composer Michael Andrews (Donnie Darko, Neighbors, Me and You and Everyone We Know, Bad Teacher) is reuniting with director Judd Apatow on the upcoming comedy The King of Staten Island. The film starring Pete Davidson, Marisa Tomei, Bill Burr, Bel Powley, Maude Apatow and Steve Buscemi centers on a burnout stuck living with his mom on Staten Island. Director Nia DaCosta has revealed in a recent interview with Fandom that experimental musician Robert A. A. Lowe (aka Lichens) is composing the music for the upcoming Candyman sequel. The film starring Tahya Abdul-Mateen II, Teyonah Parris, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett and Colman Domingo is based on the Philip Glass-scored 1992 feature of the same title written by Bernard Rose and the short story The Forbidden by Clive Barker and returns to the now-gentrified Chicago neighborhood where the legend began. Merge Records has announced a soundtrack album for the drama First Cow. The album features the film’s original music composed by Nashville guitarist William Tyler who has made his feature film scoring debut on the project. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, March 6 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. A CD and vinyl edition is in the works to come out this summer. First Cow is co-written and directed by Kelly Reichardt and stars John Magaro, Orion Lee, Toby Jones and Ewen Bremner.
