Joseph LoDuca has been hired to score the upcoming horror thriller Cult of Chucky. The film is written and directed by Don Mancini and stars Alex Vincent who reprises his role as Andy Barclay from the original Child’s Play movie, we well as Jennifer Tilly, Tiffany and Fiona Dourif. Brad Dourif is returning as the voice of Chucky. The movie follows the title character as he returns to terrorize his human victim, Nica and has some scores to settle with his old enemies, with the help of his former wife. Ogden Gavanski, David Kirschner are producing the project.

Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump Scoring ‘Gnome Alone’
Fall Out Boy member Patrick Stump has recently composed the original score for the upcoming animated feature Gnome Alone. The film is directed by Peter Lepeniotis (The Nut Job) and features the voices of Becky G, Josh Peck, Olivia Holt and George Lopez. The movie centers on a girl who discovers her new home’s garden contains gnomes and teams up with them to fight the menacing Troggs that threaten to overrun the house. Stump is also providing his voice to multiple roles and also wrote an original song to be performed by Becky G. Michael Schwartz and Zina Zaflow wrote the screenplay. John H. Williams (Shrek, Space Chimps) is producing the project.
‘The Greatest Showman’ to Feature Score by John Debney
John Debney is composing the underscore for the movie musical The Greatest Showman. The film is directed by Michael Gracey and stars Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Michelle Williams, Rebecca Ferguson and Zendaya. The movie is inspired by the imagination of P.T. Barnum and revolves around a visionary who rose from nothing to create a spectacle that became a worldwide sensation. As previously announced, Benj Pasek & Justin Paul (La La Land, Dear Evan Hansen) have written the original songs for the musical. Jenny Bicks (What a Girl Wants) and Bill Condon (Beauty and the Beast, Dreamgirls) wrote the screenplay.
Mark Korven to Score ‘Our House’
Mark Korven has been hired to score the upcoming drama Our House. The film is directed by Anthony Scott Burns and stars Thomas Mann and Nicola Peltz. The movie is based on Matt Osterman’s 2010 feature Ghost From the Machine and follows a man who has lost his parents in a car crash and leaves his promising future at MIT in order to work on an experiment to care for his siblings. Nathan Parker (Moon, Equals) wrote the screenplay. Lee Kim (Operation Avalanche), Marty Katz (Cosmopolis, Maps to the Stars) and Ulf Israel (2 Days in New York) are producing the project.
Lake Bell’s ‘I Do…Until I Don’t’ to Feature Music by Dexter Story
Dexter Story has composed the original music for the upcoming comedy I Do…Until I Don’t. The film is written directed by Lake Bell (In a World…) who also stars in the movie alongside Ed Helms, Dolly Wells, Amber Heard, Wyatt Cenac, Paul Reiser and Mary Steenburgen. The movie follows three couples stuck in the web of a jaded filmmaker who are looking to prove that marriage should be a seven-year contract with an option to renew. Bell is also producing the project with Jett Steiger (In a World…), Miranda Bailey (The Diary of a Teenage Girl, Super) and Amanda Marshall (Swiss Army Men, Don’t Think Twice).
Ben Lovett to Score David Bruckner’s ‘The Ritual’
Ben Lovett is reteaming with director David Bruckner on the upcoming horror thriller The Ritual. The film starring Rafe Spall, Arsher Ali, Robert James-Collier & Sam Troughton follows four old college friends hiking through the Scandinavian wilderness into the ancient forests of Norse legend where something evil is stalking their every step. Joe Barton (Humans, iBoy) wrote the screenplay. Jonathan Cavendish (Elizabeth: The Golden Age, Bridget Jones’s Diary) and Richard Holmes (Waking Ned Devine, Eden Lake) are producing the Entertainment One production.
Michael Brook Scoring David Gordon Green’s ‘Stronger’
Michael Brook is scoring the upcoming drama Stronger. The film is directed by David Gordon Green (Pineapple Express, All the Real Girls, Joe) and stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Tatiana Maslany, Miranda Richardson and Clancy Brown. The movie is based on the New York Times bestseller by Jeff Bauman & Bret Witter and tells the true story of Bauman, the working-class Boston man whose iconic photo from the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing gained worldwide notice. John Pollono wrote the screenplay. Todd Lieberman & David Hoberman (The Fighter, The Muppets, The Proposal), Gyllenhaal, Scott Silver (screenwriter of 8 Mile) and Michel Litvak (Whiplash, Nightcrawler) are producing the Summit Entertainment, Mandeville Films, Bold Films, and Nine Stories production.
Danny Elfman to Return for ‘Fifty Shades Freed’
Danny Elfman will be returning music as the composer for the upcoming sequel Fifty Shades Freed. The film is directed by James Foley (Glengarry Glenn Ross, Confidence) who also helmed this year’s Fifty Shades Darker and stars Dakota Johnson, Jamie Dornan, Arielle Kebbel, Kim Basinger, Brant Daugherty and Luke Grimes. The movie continues the story from 2015’s Fifty Shades of Grey and this year’s Fifty Shades Darker, which Elfman also scored. Niall Leonard has written the screenplay for the final installment in the trilogy based on E.L. James’ bestselling novel.
Christophe Beck to Return for ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’
Director Peyton Reed confirmed on Twitter that Christophe Beck will be returning to score Marvel Studios’ upcoming sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp. Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Michael Peña, David Dastmalchian and T.I. are reprising their roles from the original film. They are joined by Hannah John-Kamen. No plot details have been announced yet. Kevin Feige (The Avengers, Iron Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain America) is producing the project.
Alexander Bornstein to Score ‘Incoming’
Alexander Bornstein is set to compose the music for the upcoming sci-fi action thriller Incoming. The film is directed by Eric “Z” Zaragoza and stars Scott Adkins in the lead role. The movie is set on an International Space Station that now serves as a prison and is taken over by the imprisoned terrorists who are turning it into a missile aimed at Moscow. Jorge Saralegui (producer of Queen of the Damned, Showtime & Red Planet) wrote the screenplay based on an original story by himself, as well as the project’s producers Rick Benattar (Shoot ‘Em Up, Ironclad) and Nigel Thomas (The Numbers Station).
