The movie is based on characters created by Joseph O’Donnell and follows a shamed and discredited narcotics detective who, upon his release from prison, makes plans to seek revenge on the accuser who framed him and killed his partner. O’Donnell is also producing the AMBI Media Group/ Deadly Codes Productions production with Andrea Iervolino & Monika Bacardi (To the Bone, Black Butterfly, In Dubious Battle).

Keegan DeWitt to Score Robert Greene’s ‘Bisbee ’17’
Keegan DeWitt is reuniting with director Robert Greene on the upcoming documentary Bisbee ’17. The film centers on an old mining town on the Arizona-Mexico border that finally reckons with its darkest day: the deportation of 1200 immigrant miners exactly 100 years ago. Douglas Tirola (DRUNK STONED BRILLIANT DEAD: The Story of the National Lampoon), Susan Bedusa (Actress) and Bennett Elliott are producing the project. DeWitt has previously scored Greene’s last directorial effort, Kate Plays Christine, and also composed the music for several movies edited by Greene, including Queen of Earth and Golden Exits.
Christopher Lennertz Scoring Tyler Perry’s ‘Acrimony’
Christopher Lennertz has composed the music for the upcoming psychological thriller Acrimony. The film is written and directed by Tyler Perry and stars Taraji P. Henson, Lyriq Bent, Ajiona Alexus and Antonio Madison. The movie revolves around a faithful wife tired of standing by her devious husband who is enraged when it becomes clear she has been betrayed. Tyler is also producing the project.
Nathan Larson Scoring Jesse Peretz’s ‘Juliet, Naked’
Nathan Larson is reteaming with director Jesse Peretz on the upcoming comedy drama Juliet, Naked. The movie starring Rose Byrne, Ethan Hawke and Chris O’Dowd is based on the novel of the same title by Nick Hornby and tells the story of a woman and her unlikely transatlantic romance with once revered, now faded, singer-songwriter. Tamara Jenkins (The Savages, Slums of Beverly Hills), Jim Taylor (Sideways, Election), Phil Alden Robinson (Field of Dreams, Sneakers) and Evgenia Peretz wrote the screenplay.
Lyle Workman Scoring ‘Overboard’ Remake
Lyle Workman has recently recorded his score for the upcoming romantic comedy Overboard. The film is directed by Rob Greenberg (How I Met Your Mother) and stars Anna Faris, Eugenio Derbez, Eva Longoria, John Hannah, and Swoosie Kurtz. The movie is a remake of the 1987 feature of the same title (scored by Alan Silvestri) and follows a spoiled playboy from one of Mexico’s wealthiest families who is thrown overboard his yacht and becomes the target of revenge from his mistreated employe.
Paul Cantelon Scoring Susan Lacy’s ‘Jane Fonda in Five Acts’
Paul Cantelon is scoring the upcoming documentary Jane Fonda in Five Acts. The film is directed by Susan Lacy (Spielberg) and takes a look at the life, work, activism and controversies of Academy Award-winning actress and fitness tycoon, Jane Fonda. Lacy is also producing the project with Jessica Levin and Emma Pildes. Cantelon (The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, W., em>Everything Is Illuminated, The Other Boleyn Girl) has previously contributed music to the Lacy-produced American Masters production Woody Allen: A Documentary.
Rupert Gregson-Williams to Score Brian Henson’s ‘The Happytime Murders’
Rupert Gregson-Williams has been tapped to score the upcoming comedy The Happytime Murders. The film is directed by Brian Henson (The Muppet Christmas Carol, Muppet Treasure Island) and stars Melissa McCarthy, Maya Rudolph, Elizabeth Banks and Joel McHale. The movie centers on two clashing detectives, one human and the other a puppet, who are forced to work together to find the killer who’s murdering the former cast of “The Happytime Gang,” a classic puppet show. Longtime Henson puppeteer Bill Barretta performs Phil Phillips, the puppet detective.
‘Winchester’ to Feature Music by Peter Spierig
Director Peter Spierig has composed the music for the upcoming horror thriller Winchester. He is co-directing the film starring Helen Mirren, Jason Clarke, Sarah Snook, Angus Sampson and Finn Scicluna-O’Prey with his brother Michael Spierig. The movie is inspired by real events and follows a woman, whose husband and their child died suddenly, and is adamant she is cursed and begins building the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose, California upon advisement from a medium.
Daniel Pemberton to Score Gary Ross’ ‘Ocean’s 8’
Daniel Pemberton has taken over scoring duties on the upcoming heist comedy drama Ocean’s 8. The film is directed by Gary Ross (The Hunger Games, Seabiscuit, Pleasantville) and stars Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina, Rihanna and Helena Bonham Carter. The movie is a spin-off of Steven Soderbergh’s Oceans trilogy and revolves around eight women who plan and execute a heist in New York. Ross also co-wrote the screenplay with Olivia Milch (Dude).
Marco Beltrami to Score John Krasinski’s ‘A Quiet Place’
Marco Beltrami has been hired to score the upcoming horror thriller A Quiet Place. The film is directed by John Krasinski who also stars in the movie alongside Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe. The thriller follows a family living an isolated existence in utter silence, for fear of an unknown threat that follows and attacks at any sound. Krasinski also wrote the screenplay based on an earlier draft by Scott Beck & Bryan Woods. Michael Bay (Transformers, The Rock, Bad Boys) is producing the Platinum Dunes production with Andrew Form & Brad Fuller (The Purge, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles).
