Last summer, Lucas Vidal recorded his music for the upcoming action thriller The Cold Light of Day starring Henry Cavill, Bruce Willis and Sigourney Weaver. The score was recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London with an 80-piece orchestra. Film Music Reporter presents an exclusive video from the orchestral recording sessions, which can be checked out after the jump. The video also features interviews with the rising composer himself, as well as engineer/mixer Peter Cobin and music editor Ellen Segal. More videos are to follow. Vidal’s soundtrack for the film has been released overseas and will be coming out stateside closer to the domestic release of the movie in September (click here for the full soundtrack details). The Cold Light of Day directed by Mabrouk El Mechri opens this week in the UK and in Spain, followed by a release in other international markets over the next couple of weeks.
