La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1996 comedy The First Wives Club directed by Hugh Wilson and starring Bette Midler, Goldie Hawn, Diane Keaton, Maggie Smith, Dan Hedaya, Bronson Pinchot and Marcia Gay Harden. The album features the expanded and remastered original Academy Award-nominated original score from the Paramount Pictures release composed by Marc Shaiman (Hairspray, A Few Good Men, Mary Poppins Returns, Sister Act, City Slickers, Misery, The Addams Family), including previously unreleased music. The CD, which is limited to 1,000 copies, is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples. Varese Sarabande has previously released the original 1996 score album, while Work has released a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie. The First Wives Club is now available on VOD, Blu-ray and DVD.
