Jeff Danna (The Good Dinosaur, Onward, The Boondock Saints, The Addams Family, Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans, Storks) has recently scored the new HBO Max original series Julia. The show is created by Daniel Goldfarb and stars Sarah Lancashire, David Hyde Pierce, Brittany Bradford, Bebe Neuwirth, Fran Kranz and Fiona Glascott. The comedy is inspired by legendary cookbook author Julia Child’s life and her long-running television series The French Chef and explores a pivotal time in American history – the emergence of public television as a new social institution, the nature of celebrity, feminism and the women’s movement and America’s cultural evolution. Goldfarb is also executive producing the Lionsgate and 3 Arts Entertainment production with showrunner Chris Keyser (Party of Five, The Society), as well as Erwin Stoff (Edge of Tomorrow, Unbroken), Kimberly Carver (Barely Famous) and Charles McDougall (Four Weddings and a Funeral). Julia is premiering today on HBO Max.
