Composer Michael Andrews (Donnie Darko, Neighbors, Daddy’s Home, Me and You and Everyone We Know, Bad Teacher, Instant Family) is reuniting with director Judd Apatow (The 40-Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up, Trainwreck) on the upcoming Netflix original film The Bubble. The movie’s ensemble cast includes Karen Gillan, Iris Apatow, Fred Armisen, Maria Bakalova, Keegan-Michael Key, David Duchovny, Leslie Mann, Peter Serafinowicz and Pedro Pascal. Andrew Bird (Norman, Outside In) has also contributed original music to the comedy, which revolves around a group of actors and actresses stuck inside a pandemic bubble at a hotel attempting to complete a film. Apatow co-wrote the screenplay with Pam Brady (Lady Dynamite, Hamlet 2, Hot Rod) and is also producing the project. Andrews has previously scored the Apatow-directed Funny People, The King of Staten Island & The Zen Diaries of Garry Shandling and Apatpw-produced The Big Sick, Bridesmaids, The Five-Year Engagement and Freaks and Geeks. The Bubble is expected to premiere this March on Netflix.
