Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for the drama The Mauritanian. The album features the film’s original music composed by Tom Hodge (McMafia, Rise of the Nazis, The Man Behind the Microphone). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, February 12 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music store. The Mauritanian is directed by Kevin Macdonald and stars Jodie Foster, Tahar Rahim, Zachary Levi, Saamer Usmani, Shailene Woodley and Benedict Cumberbatch. The movie is based on th NY Times best-selling memoir Guantanamo Diary by Mohamedou Ould Slahi and tells the true story of Slahi’s fight for freedom after being detained and imprisoned without charge by the U.S. Government for years.
