Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, His Dark Materials, The Lego Batman Movie, Bad Boys for Life, Home) has composed the original music for the new Netflix original film Outside the Wire. The movie is directed by Mikael Håfström (1408, Derailed) and stars Anthony Mackie, Damson Idris, Enzo Cilenti, Emily Beecham, Michael Kelly and Pilou Asbæk. The sci-fi adventure is set in the future and centers on a drone pilot who is sent into a deadly militarized zone where he finds himself working for an android officer, tasked to locate a doomsday device before the insurgents do. Rob Yescombe and Rowan Athale (Strange But True, Wasteland) wrote the screenplay based on a story by Yescombe. Mackie is also producing the project with Ben Pugh (Welcome to the Punch, The Autopsy of Jane Doe), Erica Steinberg (Grindhouse), Brian Kavanaugh-Jones (Sinister, Midnight Special) and Jason Spire (Operation Finale). Outside the Wire is premiering today exclusively on Netflix.
