Plaza Mayor Company will release a soundtrack album for the drama The Life Ahead (La vita davanti a sé). The album features the original score from the film composed by Academy Award winner Gabriel Yared (The English Patient, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Judy, City of Angels, Message in a Bottle). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, November 13 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. As previously reported, WM Italy has released the film’s original song Io sì (Seen) written by Diane Warren and performed by Laura Pausini last month. The Life Ahead is directed by Edoardo Ponti and stars Sophia Loren, Ibrahima Gueye, Renato Carpentieri, Massimiliano Rossi, Abril Zamora, Diego Iosif Pirvu and Babak Karimi. The drama tells the story of a Holocaust survivor with a daycare business who takes in a 12-year-old street kid who recently robbed her. Loved this movie
I decided to watch this movie since I have been trying to learn Italian. It was such a coincidence that I chose this movie because I have been working on a mandatory workshop for work. The subject of the workshop is Adverse Childhood Experiences. This movie fit right in and helped me to have a clearer understanding of what it means. I want to find the lyrics to the song at the end. It was so beautiful and would love to share it with teachers at my job.
