Fil Eisler (Revenge, How to Be Single, UnReal, Proud Mary, CHiPs, Life of the Party) is the composer of the new NBC drama Council of Dads. The show is created by Joan Rater & Tony Phelan (Grey’s Anatomy, Doubt) and stars Sarah Wayne Callies, Clive Standen, J. August Richards, Michael O’Neill, Michelle Weaver, Steven Silver, Emjay Anthony, Thalia Tran and Blue Chapman. The series centers on a loving father of five who has his entire life’s plan thrown into upheaval by an unexpected health scare as he calls on a few of his most trusted friends to step in as back-up dads to help guide and support his growing family. Phelan & Rater are also executive producing the Universal Television production with Jerry Bruckheimer (Armageddon, Top Gun), Jonathan Littman (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, CSI: Miami) & KristieAnne Reed (Lucifer, L.A.’s Finest) for Jerry Bruckheimer Television. Eisler also continues to score Fox’s Empire, which currently airs Tuesday nights in its sixth and final season. He also recently composed the music for the Melissa McCarthy-starring comedy Superintelligence, which will premiere on HBO Max later this year, and also co-scored the documentary Us Kids, which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. The composer also has the German Netflix original series Biohackers created by Christian Ditter and starring Luna Wedler, Jessica Schwarz and Adrian Julius Tillmann coming up. The show, which follows a woman who goes to medical school to get close to a professor she suspects had a hand in her past family tragedy and gets tangled in the world of biohacking, will premiere later this year on Netflix.
