Daniel Pemberton (Steve Jobs, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Molly’s Game, All the Money in the World, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword) has announced on Twitter that he has scored the new National Geographic docu-series One Strange Rock. The show is executive produced by Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream, The Fountain) & Jane Root, hosted by Will Smith and tells the extraordinary story of Earth, told from the only people who have ever left it: astronauts. The 10-part series, which was filmed across 45 countries, on six continents and from outer space, reveals the twists of fate that have allowed life to emerge, survive and thrive on Earth. Aronofsky is executive producing the project with Ari Handel from Protozoa Pictures and Jane Root with Arif Nurmohamed from Nutopia. One Strange Rock will premiere on March 26 on Nat Geo.
