Dickon Hinchliffe has been tapped to score the upcoming indie drama Burden. The film is written and directed by Andrew Heckler and stars Garrett Hedlund, Andrea Riseborough, Forest Whitaker, Tom Wilkinson, Tess Harper and Usher. The movie tells the story of an orphan raised within the Ku Klux Klan who attempts to break away after the girl he falls in love with urges him to leave for a better life together. Robbie Brenner (Dallas Buyers Club, Escape Plan, Machine Gun Preacher, A Perfect Getaway) is producing the project for The Firm. Jeff Kwatinetz, Gabby Revilla and Kevin McKeon serve as executive producers. No word yet on a premiere date for Burden.
Hinchliffe (Out of the Furnace, Winter’s Bone, Locke, Peaky Blinders) also has Phillip Noyce’s thriller Above Suspicion starring Emilia Clarke & Jack Huston coming up.
