BMG will release the official score album for the adventure drama Gold. The album features the film’s original music composed by Daniel Pemberton (Steve Jobs, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., King Arthur, The Counselor). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, January 27. The download link will be added to this article within the next day. As reported earlier this week, Varese Sarabande will release a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie, including the original track Gold co-written by Pemberton and performed by Iggy Pop. Gold is directed by Stephen Gaghan and stars Matthew McConaughey, Bryce Dallas Howard, Edgar Ramirez, Bruce Greenwood, Corey Stoll, Toby Kebbell and Stacy Keach. The movie follows a modern-day prospector desperate for a lucky break who teams up with a similarly eager geologist and sets off to find gold in the uncharted jungle of Indonesia. The drama is being released nationwide this weekend by the Weinstein Company. Visit the official movie website to learn more about the film.
