Brian Tyler and Tony Morales are scoring the new CBS drama Scorpion. The show is created by Nick Santora (Prison Break, Breakout Kings) and stars Elyes Gabel, Katharine McPhee, Robert Patrick, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Jadyn Wong and Ari Stidham. The series follows an eccentric genius and his team of brilliant misfits who comprise the last line of defense against complex, high-tech threats of the modern age. Santora is also executive producing the CBS Television Studios production with Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci (Star Trek, Alias), Nicholas Wootton (NYPD Blue, Chuck), Heather Kadin (Sleepy Hollow) Scooter Braun (Justin Bieber’s Believe) and Walter O’Brien. Justin Lin has directed the pilot episode and is also executive producing the project. The director has previously collaborated with Tyler on such films as Fast & Furious, Fast Five, Finishing the Game and Annapolis. The composer has also worked together with Orci & Kurtzman on Hawaii Five-O, Sleepy Hollow, Transformers Prime and the features Now You See Me and Eagle Eye. Tyler also continues to score Fox’s Sleepy Hollow (with Robert Lydecker), which returns for a second season this TV season. His upcoming feature projects include Avengers: Age of Ultron and Fast & Furious 7. Morales whose previous scoring credits include Hatfields & McCoys, the Joss Whedon-scripted In Your Eyes and Peter Hyams’ Enemies Closer has previously worked with Tyler on such films as Fast Five, The Expendables, Now You See Me and Battle Los Angeles.
