Premiering tomorrow night is the new Fox drama The Following created by Kevin Williamson (Scream, Dawson’s Creek) and starring Kevin Bacon, James Purefoy, Jeananne Goossen, Maggie Grace, Natalie Zea, Adan Canto, Nico Tortorella and Shawn Ashmore. The show’s music is composed by John Frizzell (Alien: Resurrection, Dante’s Peak). The series follows an ex-FBI agent who is recruited to recapture an escaped serial killer. Yesterday, BBC America premiered the mini-series Ripper Street created by Richard Warlow (Mistress) and starring Matthew Macfadyen, Jerome Flynn, Adam Rothenberg, Myanna Buring and David Dawson.The eight-part series is set in and around Whitechapel in London’s East End in 1889 during the aftermath of the Jack the Ripper murders and centers on the notorious H Division, which is charged with keeping order in the chaotic East London streets. Swiss composer Dominik Scherrer (Primeval) has written the score for the project. Ripper Street will be airing every Saturday night for the next couple of weeks. Last night, Lifetime premiered the TV movie Prosecuting Casey Anthony directed by Peter Werner (Justified, Medium) and starring Rob Lowe as Jeff Ashton, the Florida prosecutor in the controversial Caylee Anthony murder trial and author of the best-selling book Imperfect Justice: Prosecuting Casey Anthony, upon which the film is based. The drama’s music is composed by Richard Marvin (U-571, Six Feet Under, Grimm). Lowe is executive producing the movie with Alison Cross, Jean Abounader and Michelle Manning (The Breakfast Club).
