Gary Yershon (Brighton, Trial and Retribution, 23 Walks) has composed the original music for the upcoming British comedy drama Tender Loving Care. The film is written and directed by Mike Leigh (Secrets & Lies, Vera Drake, Naked) and stars Kate O’Flynn, Alice Bailey Johnson, Marion Bailey and Paul Jesson. The movie follows a devoted social worker as she navigates her father’s declining health and the challenges of approaching middle age alongside her lifelong friend, finding comfort and laughter in their shared bond. Georgina Lowe is producing the project. Yershon has previously collaborated with Leigh on the director’s previous five features, Happy-Go-Lucky, Another Year, Mr. Turner (which earned him his first Academy Award nomination), Peterloo and Hard Truths. Tender Loving Care is premiering this weekend at the 2026 Telluride Film Festival and is set to be released in U.S. theaters on December 4, 2026 by Bleecker Street.
