Walt Disney Records has announced the first-ever vinyl release of the soundtrack album for Gore Verbinski’s 2006 fantasy adventure Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest starring Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Keira Knightley, Stellan Skarsgård and Bill Nighy. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Hans Zimmer (Gladiator, The Lion King, Interstellar, The Dark Knight, Dune, Inception, Rain Man, Man of Steel). The soundtrack will be released on vintage “Bottle Clear” vinyl on September 25 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label has previously released a vinyl edition of the album for 2003’s Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl last year. The original soundtrack album for Dead Man’s Chest was released digitally and on CD in 2006. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest is now available on VOD, Blu-ray and DVD.
