Disney announced today that Tony Morales (Reacher, FUBAR, Scorpion, Elena of Avalor, The Fugitive, Bloodline, The Bag Man, In Your Eyes) is providing the original score for the upcoming Disney Jr./Disney+ animated holiday special Mickey’s Home Alone. The special directed by Shane Prigmore (Tangled: Before Ever After, Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure) is inspired by Chris Columbus’ 1990 holiday classic Home Alone and follows Mickey whose Christmas plans take an unexpected turn after Minnie surprises him and the gang with tickets to spend Christmas at a world-famous Ice Palace, but, in the morning rush to make it out the door, is accidentally left behind with Pluto. Keith Harrison Dworkin has contributed two original songs (Ho-Ho-Home for Christmas & Favorite Christmas Feeling) and Morales has arranged a new version of Jingle Bells. Tom Rogers (The Chicken Squad, Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast) is executive producing the Wild Canary production. Mickey’s Home Alone will premiere this holiday season on Disney Jr. and Disney+.
Morales’ recent projects also include Disney Jr.’s Sofia the First: Royal Magic, which just premiered last month.
