Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the Hong Kong action movie The Furious. The album features the film’s original score composed by Elliot Leung (Operation Red Sea, The Rescue, Freelance, Cesium Fallout, Warriors of Future) and Olivia Xiaolin. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, June 12. The streaming/download link will be added to this page within the next day. As previously reported, Brainfeeder has released Flying Lotus/Captain Murphy’s original song Mudhole as a digital single last week. The Furious is directed by Kenji Tanigaki and stars Xie Miao, Joe Taslim, Yang Enyou, Joey Iwanaga and Brian Le. The action epic follows a man who sets out on a rampage to find his daughter after she gets kidnapped by a criminal network and he receives no help from the corrupt police. The movie premiered at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival and is being released in U.S. theaters nationwide this weekend by Lionsgate.
