Bullet Bones Danger has released a soundtrack album for the documentary Sunday Best: The Untold Story of Ed Sullivan. The album features the film’s original music composed by Bullet Shields (aka Ryan Shields) (Aviva, Reggie, Creating a Character: The Moni Yakim Legacy). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s Ed Sullivan Theme after the jump. Sunday Best is directed by Sacha Jenkins and recounts Sullivan’s show business career with an emphasis on his support of Black American artists, including his friendship with Bill Robinson. The movie traces the rise of the greatest names in music through the barrier-breaking host that introduced them to the world, featuring some of the first-ever TV performances from artists such as Stevie Wonder, The Supremes, The Jackson 5,James Brown, Nat King Cole, among others. The documentary premiered at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival and made its streaming debut last July on Netflix.
