Composer Jeff Beal (House of Cards, Monk, All Her Fault, Rome, Carnivale, Pollock,Appaloosa, Rule Breakers, The Biggest Little Farm, An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power, Blackfish) is reteaming with director Jonah Tulis on the upcoming documentary Serling. The film explores the life and legacy of one of television’s most visionary storytellers: The Twilight Zone creator Rod Serling. The movie is told almost entirely in Serling’s own words, drawn from never-before-heard recordings and personal dictations. Tulis is also producing the project with Appian Way’s Leonardo DiCaprio & Jennifer Davisson (Orphan, Out of the Furnace), Phillip Watson (Yanuni, Sleepwalker), Chad A. Verdi (Bleed for This, Survive the Game), Michelle Verdi, Chad Verdi, Jr. & Paul Luba (Junction, Chosen Family) and Blake J. Harris. Beal has previously collaborated with Tulis on the feature documentaries Console Wars and Gamestop: The Rise of the Players.. Serling will premiere next month at the 2026 SXSW Film Festival.
