Netflix Music will release the official soundtrack album for the streamer’s original film Train Dreams. The album features the movie’s original score composed by Bryce Dessner (of The National) (The Two Popes, We Live in Time, Cyrano, Bardo, Manhunt, She Came to Me, A Good Person, Widow Cliquot). Also included is the original end credits song Train Dreams co-written (with Dessner) and performed by Nick Cave. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, November 7 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. A vinyl edition will be available to order here within the next few days. Two first tracks (Passageways I: Ahead, Trembling & The Great Mystery) have already been released as digital singles over the last two weeks and can be checked out below. Train Dreams is co-written and directed by Clint Bentley and stars Joel Edgerton, Felicity Jones, William H. Macy, Kerry Condon, Clifton Collins Jr., Nathaniel Arcand, John Diehl, Paul Schneider, as well as Will Patton as the narrator. The drama follows a logger who leads a life of quiet grace as he experiences love and loss during an era of monumental change in early 20th-century America. The movie, which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, will be released in select theaters on November 7 before making its streaming debut on November 21 on Netflix.
