David Hirschfelder (Shine, Elizabeth, Australia, Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole, The Railway Man, Sanctum )is attached to score the upcoming Australian creature feature Dogs of War. The film is written and directed by Kiah Roache-Turner (Sting, Wyrmwood) and will star Daniel Webber, Bart Edwards, Robert Maaser, CJ Bloomfield, Jake Ryan, Sam Parsonson and Masha Basman. The movie is set during World War II and follows a squad of British commandos stationed in a Nazi-infested forest, where they soon discover that what lurks in the forest is far more terrifying than their German foe. Blake Northfield (Wyrmwood: Apocalypse, Beast of War) and Michelle Krumm (The Spectacular Now, Escape from Pretoria) are producing the project for Bronte Studios. Dogs of War is set to shoot in early 2026 in Australia and Bulgaria. (Deadline)
