Deutsche Grammophon has released a new soundtrack album for the HBO original series My Brilliant Friend. The album features the original music from the show’s fourth season composed by Max Richter (The Leftovers, Ad Astra, Mary Queen of Scots, Hostiles, Waltz with Bashir, Taboo, Miss Sloane), as well as several tracks from the composer’s Recomposed By Max Richter: Vivaldi, The Four Seasons album and a cue from his score for the 2008 film Henry May Long. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Listen to two of the new tracks below. The label has previously released three albums featuring Richter’s music from Season 1, Season 2 & Season 3. over the last couple of years. The final season of the drama is based on the bestselling novel My Brilliant Friend: The Story of the Lost Child, the fourth book of the quadrilogy by Elena Ferrante and stars Alba Rohrwacher, Irene Maiorino, Fabrizio Gifuni, Stefano Dionisi, Pier Giorgio Bellocchio, Anna Rita Vitolo, Daria Deflorian, Eduardo Scarpetta, Lino Musella, Edoardo Pesce and Sonia Bergamasco. The drama’s fourth season premiered in the U.S. earlier this month on HBO and is also available to stream on Max.
