Laura Karpman (American Fiction, Set It Up, Lovecraft Country, Paris Can Wait, Taken, Why We Hate) has been tapped to score the upcoming superhero movie Captain America: Brave New World. The film is directed by Julius Onah (Luce, The Cloverfield Paradox) and stars Anthony Mackie, Danny Ramirez, Harrison Ford, Shira Haas, Carl Lumbly, Xosha Roquemore ,Liv Tyler, Tim Blake Nelson and Giancarlo Esposito. The movie follows the title character who – after meeting with th newly elected U.S. President – finds himself in the middle of an international incident and must discover the reason behind a nefarious global plot. Kevin Feige (Avengers: Endgame, Guardians of the Galaxy) and Nate Moore (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Eternals) are producing the project. Karpman has previously scored Marvel’s feature The Marvels, as well as the TV shows Ms. Marvel and What If…?. The composer’s involvement was announced at today’s Marvel Music panel at D23. Captain America: Brave New World is set to be released in theaters nationwide on February 14, 2025.
Karpman also continues to co-score Marvel’s animated What If..?, which will return for a third season.
Henrey Jackman Not Returning From Falcon and The Winter Soldier is kinda disappointing.
