The full details of the soundtrack album for the Netflix original film Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F have been revealed. The album features the film’s original score composed by Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout & Dead Reckoning, Black Widow, His Dark Materials, Bad Boys for Life & Ride or Die, The LEGO Batman Movie, Top Gun: Maverick). Harold Faltermeyer has written the original Beverly Hills Cop themes used in Balfe’s score. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Wednesday, July 3 by Netflix Music (visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download). A first track from Balfe’s score (Axel’s Return) is already available to stream/download now and available separately as a a digital single is Lil Nas X’s “theme song” Here We Go!. Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F is directed by Mark Molloy and stars Eddie Murphy, Taylour Paige, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Judge Reinhold, John Ashton, Kevin Bacon, Bronson Pinchot and Paul Reiser. The Jerry Bruckheimer-produced action comedy follows Detroit cop Axel Foley who – forty years after his first case in Beverly Hills – returns to do what he does best: solve crimes and cause chaos. The film will premiere on July 3 on Netflix.
