Leo Birenberg (Cobra Kai, Bottoms, Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, Son of Zorn, Tigtone, Twisted Metal, Butcher’s Crossing) is scoring the new Netflix original true crime documentary How to Rob a Bank. The film is directed by Stephen Robert Morse (Amanda Knox) & Seth Porges (Class Action Park, In the Cold Dark Night) and centers on a charismatic rebel who pulled off an unprecedented string of bank robberies in 1990s Seattle with uncanny ability to disappear using Hollywood-style makeup. Morse & Porges are also producing the project with Max Peltz (Bad Hombres). How to Rob a Bank will premiere on June 5, 2024 on Netflix.
Birenberg has also recently been scoring the Netflix animated series Jurassic World: Chaos Theory, which is premiering this Friday and also continues to co-score Netflix’s Cobra Kai, which will return for the first part of its sixth and final season this July.
