Dominic Lewis (Bullet Train, Peter Rabbit, The King’s Man, The Man in the High Castle, Money Monster, Violent Night) has teamed up with Guillaume Roussel (3 Days to Kill, The Three Musketeers: D’Artagnan, Black Beauty, The Spy, Happy!) to compose the music for the upcoming Netflix original film Lift. The movie is directed by F. Gary Gray (Straight Outta Compton, The Fate of the Furious) and stars Kevin Hart, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Vincent D’Onofrio, Billy Magnussen, Úrsula Corberó, Viveik Kalra, Yun Jee Kim and Sam Worthington. The heist comedy follows an international heist crew who race to lift $500 million in gold from a passenger plane at 40,000 feet. Daniel Kunka (12 Rounds) wrote the screenplay. Hart is also producing the project with Bryan Smiley (Me Time, True Story) for Hartbeat, alongside Matt Reeves (The Batman, War for the Planet of the Apes) and Adam Kassan (Away, Mother/Android) for 6th & Idaho, as well as Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Days of Future Past, Sherlock Holmes) and Audrey Chon (The Twilight Zone, Invasion) for Genre Pictures. Lewis & Roussel have previously collaborated on the music for this year’s Expend4bles, for which Roussel wrote the score and Lewis served as the score producer. Lift will premiere on January 12, 2024 on Netflix.
Lewis also David Leitch’s The Fall Guy starring Ryan Gosling & Emily Blunt (to be released on March 1, 2024), as well as the second season of the Disney+ animated series Monsters at Work coming up.
