Roger Suen (Blue Bayou, Gook, Spy Intervention, Ms. Purple, A Kid from Coney Island)) has recently scored the upcoming action comedy The Retirement Plan. The film is written and directed by Tim Brown (Buckley’s Chance, Devil in the Dark) and stars Nicolas Cage, Ashley Greene, Ron Perlman, Jackie Earle Haley, Grace Byers, Joel David Moore and Ernie Hudson. The movie follows a woman and her young daughter as they get caught up in a criminal enterprise that puts their lives at risk and turn to the only person who can help: her estranged father who is a retired beach bum. William G. Santor (Unplugging), Doug Murray (The Immaculate Room) and Nicholas Tabarrok (The Art of the Steal, Stockholm) are producing the Darius Films & Productivity Media production. The Retirement Plan is set to be released in theaters on August 25, 2023 by Falling Forward Films.
Suen’s recent feature projects also include Justin Chon’s Jamojaya, which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and is currently awaiting a release date.
