Haim Mazar (The Iceman, Sneakerheads, Half Baked: Totally Hight, The Taking of Debora Logan, Woke, Versa, Self Help, I Am Wrath, Desperation Road) has composed the film’s original music. Opening semi-wide in around 350 theaters is the animated feature The Last Whale Singer written and directed by Reza Memari and starring Bruce Dinsmore, Vincent Tong and Jenna Wheeler-Hughes. The film’s original music is composed by Daníel Bjarnason (The Deep, I’ll Be Your Mirror, Under the Tree, Northern Comfort). La Boîte à Fanny has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as the original song I’ll Be performed by Ásgeir last Friday. Opening in limited release is the romantic crime thriller Carolina Caroline directed by Adam Carter Rehmeier and starring Samara Weaving, Kyle Gallner, Kyra Sedgwick and Jon Gries. Christopher Bear (of the rock band Grizzly Bear) (Past Lives, Roofman, Mother, Couch, High Maintenance, Omaha, Adults, Swallowed, Fantasy Life, The Passenger) has composed the film’s original music. Opening in New York this week before expanding to more U.S. markets in the coming weeks is the documentary Underland directed by Robert Petit, based on Robert Macfarlane’s bestselling book, narrated by Sandra Hüller and produced by Darren Aronofsky. Rivertones has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score this past March when the movie opened in the UK.
