Benjamin Wallfisch (It, Alien: Romulus, Twisters, Blade Runner 2049, The Flash, Hidden Figures, The Invisible Man, Shazam!) is composing the original score for the upcoming Netflix original film The Woman in Cabin 10. The movie is directed by Simon Stone (The Daughter, The Dig) and stars Keira Knightley, Guy Pearce, Hannah Waddingham, Art Malik, David Ajala, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Kaya Scodelario, Daniel Ings, David Morrissey and Gitte Witt. The psychological thriller is based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Ruth Ware and follows a journalist who witnesses a passenger thrown overboard late at night while on board a luxury yacht and risks her life to uncover the truth when no one believes her. Stone also co-wrote the screenplay with Joe Shrapnel & Anna Waterhouse (Race, Rebecca). Debra Hayward (Les Miserables, Mary Queen of Scots) and Ilda Diffley are producing the project. The Woman in Cabin 10 will premiere on October 10 exclusively on Netflix.
Also coming up for Wallfisch is Michael Chaves’ The Conjuring: Last Rites (to be released in theaters on September 5) Simon McQuoid’s Mortal Kombat 2 (to be released in theaters on October 24), as well as HBO’s It: Welcome to Derry (to premiere this October).
