Film Fest Gent has announced three new albums to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the World Soundtrack Awards. Debbie Wiseman – Music for Film features all-new studio recordings of selected suites and pieces from the 2025 World Soundtrack Awards guest of honor’s film and television scores, performed by the Brussels Philharmonic and conducted by Film Fest Gent music director Dirk Brossé. Among the titles featured on the album are Wilde, Father Brown, Wolf Hall, a a suite from Lewis Gilbert’s Haunted, several pieces from Jean-Paul Salomé’s Arsène Lupin and first-time re-recordings from her scores for Edie and To Olivia. Also included are two previously unreleased pieces: Accession 2023 written for BBC’s coverage of The Coronation of TM The King and Queen Camilla and a suite from Andrew Davies’ television adaptation of He Knew He Was Right, as well as Wiseman’s piano solo performance of Viv and Maurice from Brian Gilbert’s Tom & Viv. Film Fest Gent also presents an expanded reissue of Craig Armstrong: Music for Film, the very first official album (originally released in 2007) featuring highlights from the composer’s film works, performed by the Brussels Philharmonic and Vlaams Radiokoor and conducted by Film Fest Gent music director Dirk Brossé. In addition to Armstrong’s music fromm Romeo + Juliet, Moulin Rouge!, Love Actually, The Bone Collector, The Quiet American and World Trade Center, three pieces have been additionally recorded for the expansion the Love Theme from Thomas Vinterberg’s Far from the Madding Crowd and Dark Red Theme 1 and Dark Red Theme 3 from Paul McGuigan’s Victor Frankenstein. Film Fest Gent has also announced a ne  vinyl set featuring music from many of the guests of honor and Lifetime Achievement Award laureates of the 25 editions of the World Soundtrack Awards Ceremony & Concert. World Soundtrack Awards – 25th Anniversary Celebration is limited to 500 copies and contains selections from every one of Film Fest Gent’s studio recordings over the years, from both the For the Record and Music for Film album series on the first three LPs, as well as previously unreleased live recordings of performances from two-and-a-half decades of WSA concerts on a fourth bonus LP.
