This week, Keegan DeWitt (A Teacher, Sorry for Your Loss, Love AgainDivorce, Gemini, Morris from America) has been recording his score for the upcoming Netflix original film People We Meet on Vacation. The movie is directed by Brett Haley and stars Tom Blyth, Emily Bader, Sarah Catherine Hook, Lucien Laviscount, Jameela Jamil, Alice Lee, Lukas Gage, Miles Heizer, Tommy Do, Alan Ruck and Molly Shannon. The romantic comedy drama based on Emily Henry’s bestselling novel of the same title follows two unlikely best friends living in different cities who have been spending every summer vacation together for a decade, when they start to question their friendship and wonder if they could be the perfect romantic match. Yulin Kuang wrote the screenplay. Temple Hill’s Marty Bowen & Wyck Godfrey (The Maze Runner, The Fault in Our Stars) and Isaac Klausner (Smile, Love, Simon) are producing the 3000 Pictures production. DeWitt has previously scored Haley’s last five features, I’ll See You in My Dreams, The HeroHearts Beat LoudAll the Bright Places & All Together NowPeople We Meet on Vacation is expected to premiere this year on Netflix.

DeWitt’s other recent feature projects include Andrew DeYoung’s Friendship, which premiered at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival and will be released in theaters on May 9 by A24, as well as Chad Hartigan’s The Threesome, which premiered last month at the SXSW Film Festival and is currently awaiting a distribution deal.
