Joneswood Records has released a soundtrack album for the Oscar-shortlisted live action short Edge of Space. The album features the film’s original music composed by Mark Baechle (Frieda’s Case, Vow of Silence: The Assassination of Annie Mae, Etienne!). Edge of Space is written and directed by Jean de Meuron and stars Chad Michael Collins and Kimberly Alexander. The short is set in 1961 during the height of the space race between the U.S. and Soviet Union and follows an ambitious USAF test pilot who is recruited by NASA for a suborbital mission in a X-15 hypersonic rocket-powered aircraft with astronomical implications. The movie premiered at various film festivals and is one of the fifteen live action shorts shortlisted for this year’s Academy Awards.
