Sony Music Entertainment India has released a new soundtrack album for the Indian fantasy adventure Barroz: Guardian of Treasures. The album features the film’s original “background” score composed by Mark Kilian (Tsotsi, Eye in the Sky, Pitch Perfect, Traitor, The Ward, Rendition, Official Secrets). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s first track (Conjuring da Gama) below. The label has previously released a separate soundtrack EP featuring the songs from the movie by Lydian Nadhaswaram, Fernando Boto de Jesus Guerreiro & Miguel Jorge Guerreiro. Barroz is directed by Mohanlal and stars Mohanlal himelf, Maya Rao West, Cesar Lorente Raton, Kallirroi Tziafeta, Ignacio Mateos, Nerea Camacho and Tuhin Menon. The movie tells the story of a spirit who protects Vasco da Gama’s hidden treasure, as he aids a young boy proving himself the rightful heir. The film opened in India on Christmas Day and was also released in select U.S. theaters on the same day.
