Stephen McKeon (Evil Dead Rise, The Hole in the Ground, Pilgrimage, Norm of the North, The Cellar, Rose Plays Julie, Queen & Country) is scoring the upcoming Canadian/Irish thriller Sharp Corner. The film is written and directed by Jason Buxton (Blackbird) and stars Ben Foster and Cobie Smulders. The movie is based on a short story by Russell Wangersky and revolves around a family man who becomes obsessed with saving the lives of the car accident victims at the sharp road corner near his home after a car crashes into his front yard. Buxton is also producing the project for Workhorse Pictures, alongside Paul Barkin (The Colony, Night Raiders) for Alcina Pictures, Marc Tetreault & Jason Levangie (The Queen of My Dreams, Kids vs. Aliens) for Shut Up & Colour Pictures, as well as Susan Mullen (The Man Who Invented Christmas, Maudie) for Kobalt Films. Sharp Corner will premiere this September at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival.
McKeon has also recently scored Thordur Palsson’s The Damned, which premiered at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival and is currently awaiting a release date.
