Gustavo Santaolalla (Brokeback Mountain, Babel, The Motorcycle Diaries, The Last of Us, The Book of Life) has teamed up with Juan Luqui (Wild Life, (Monsterland, Dear Child), Paco Cabral (Diego: The Last Goodbye) and Matias Tozolla (Messenger on a White Horse) to score the upcoming documentary Norita. He also serves as an executive producer on the film directed by Jayson McNamara & Andrea Tortonese and tells the story of Norita Cortiñas who helped found a movement of Argentinian mothers in the 1970s whose children had been “disappeared” by the country’s right-wing military regime and is seen as a fundamental fixture in the movement’s success during the country’s 2020 vote to legalize abortion. Sarah Schoellkopf, Jayson McNamara, Francisco Villa & Melissa Daniels are producing the DoctoraStories, Picabu Films and Tidetivity Studio production. Among the project’s other executive producers are Jane Fonda and director Andy Muschietti (It, The Flash). Norita will premiere later this month at the Dances With Films production in Hollywood.
