Six contemporary artists have contributed cover versions for the new BBC drama This Town. Celeste has recorded a new version of the Richard Rodgers- & Lorenz Hart-penned Blue Moon, Gregory Porter has covered Charles Bradley’s The World (Is Going Up In Flames), Olivia Dean has contributed a yet-to-be revealed cover, Ray Laurél has recorded a cover of Somewhere Over the Rainbow (from The Wizard of Oz), Sekou has contributed a cover of Jimmy Cliff’s Wonderful World, Beautiful People and Self Esteem has covered Cliff’s You Can Get It If You Really Want. The songs will be featured during the end credits of each episode of the series created by Steven Knight and starring Michelle Dockery, Nicholas Pinnock, David Dawson, Levi Brown, Ben Rose, Jordan Bolger and Eve Austin. Dan Carey, Kae Tempest and ESKA have written the songs performed by the band in the series. A soundtrack album featuring the songs will be released in the coming weeks. This Town is premiering in the UK tonight on BBC One.
