Isom Innis is reteaming with actress/director Carlson Young on the new romantic comedy Upgraded. The film is directed by Young and stars Camila Mendes, Archie Renaux, Thomas Kretschmann, Aimee Carrero, Gregory Montel, Rachel Matthews, Andrew Schulz, Lena Olin and Marisa Tomei. The movie follows an ambitious intern dreaming of a career in the art world while trying to impress her demanding boss who meets a handsome man who mistakes her for her boss, a white lie that sets off a chain of events, romance and opportunity. Christine Lenig and Justin Matthews & Luke Spencer (The Dule) Roberts wrote the screenplay. Mike Karz (Valentine’s Day, Blended) & William Bindley are producing the Gulfstream Pictures production with Lena Roklin (The Other Zoey, Limbo) and Piers Tempest (The Wife, Emily. Innis, who is best known as the keyboardist of the indie pop band Foster the People, has previously scored Young’s first feature, The Blazing World. Upgraded will premiere on February 9, 2024 on Prime Video.
