Composer Graham Reynolds is reuniting with director Richard Linklater on the upcoming crime comedy Hit Man. The film starring Glen Powell, Adria Arjona, Austin Amelio & Retta revolves around a philosophy professor by day, lecturing his students on theories of morality, while – in his downtime – also works with the police in surveillance vans as a tech-savvy staff investigator during undercover sting operations. Linklater and Powell also co-wrote the screenplay. The director is also producing the project with Mike Blizzard (Apollo 10 1/2: A Space Age Childhood), Michael Costigan (Out of the Furnace, A Bigger Splash) & Jason Bateman (Ozark, The Outsider). Reynolds has previously collaborated with Linklater on numerous features, including A Scanner Darkly, Bernie, Before Midnight, Last Flag Flying and Where’d You Go, Bernadette. Hit Man will premiere next month at the 2023 Venice and Toronto International Film Festival.
