Composer Mychael Danna (Life of Pi, Moneyball, Where the Crawdads Sing, CapoteThe Good Dinosaur, The Addams Family) is reteaming with director Atom Egoyan on the upcoming Canadian drama Seven Veils. The film is written and directed by Egoyan and stars Amanda Seyfried, Rebecca Liddiard, Douglas Smith, Vinessa Antoine, Mark O’Brien, Ambur Braid and Michael Kupfer-Radecky. The movie revolves around an earnest theatre director who gets tasked with remounting her former mentor’s most famous work, the opera Salome. Egoyan is also producing the Rhombus Media and Ego Film Arts production with Niv Fichman (Enemy, The Man Who Invented Christmas), Simone Urdl (The Last Letter from Your Lover, Daydream Nation), Fraser Ash & Kevin Krikst (Possessor, BlackBerry). Seven Veils will premiere this September at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival.

Danna’s other recent projects include Gene Stupnitsky’s No Hard Feelings (co-scored with Jessica Rose Weiss), which is currently playing in theaters nationwide.
