Guillaume Roussel (Black Beauty, 3 Days to Kill, The Three Musketeers: D’Artagnan, The Spy, Happy!) has recently been scoring the upcoming action sequel The Expendables 4. The film is directed by Scott Waugh (Act of War, Need for Speed) and stars Jason Statham, Sylvester Stallone, Dolph Lundgren & Randy Couture who reprise their roles from the first three installments. They are joined by new cast members Iko Uwais, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Megan Fox, Tony Jaa, Levy Tran, Jacob Scipio and Andy Garcia. Statham is also producing the project with Kevin King Templeton (Creed, Rocky Balboa) as well as Millennium Media’s Les Weldon (The Hitman’s Bodyguard, Olympus Has Fallen), Yariv Lerner (Rambo: Last Blood, Hellboy) and Jeffrey Greenstein & Jonathan Yunger (The Outpost, Security). Brian Tyler has previously composed the music for the first three movies in the series. The Expendables 4 is set to be released in theaters on September 22, 2023 by Lionsgate.
Roussel’s other upcoming projects also include Martin Bourboulon’s The Three Musketeers: Milady (to be released in French theaters this December), as well as the second season of the Canal+/BBC series Marie-Antoinette.
No more Brian Tyler? This could be interesting (although Tyler´s work on the “Expendables” franchise is very solid). Let´s wait and see…
No more Brian Tyler??? It’s a shame!!!
