Theodore Shapiro (Severance, The Devil Wears Prada, Tropic Thunder, Ghostbusters, Spy, Marley & Me, Bombshell) is returning to compose the original score for the upcoming animated sequel Trolls 3. Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake are reprising their roles as the lead characters of Queen Poppy and Branch. No other voice casting announcements have been made yet for the DreamWorks Animation production. Shapiro has previously scored the second installment, Trolls World Tour (and also composed the music for the studios’ Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie), while Christophe Beck composed the score for the original 2016 film. Trolls 3 is set to be released in theaters nationwide on November 17, 2023 by Universal Pictures.
Shapiro also continues to score Apple TV+’s Severance, which will return for a second season.
